From Separation to Embodiment: The Four Stages of Manifestation

By Dehyana

There’ve been so many times in my life where I’ve asked myself: Am I shaping my life, or is life shaping me? Perhaps you’ve wondered too. Looking back, I see that both have been true, and in each season, something miraculous was happening, although I couldn’t see it at the time. What once felt like stumbling blocks became stepping stones, carrying me from fear into freedom, from striving into being.

The Four Stages of Manifestation (A Lived Experience)

What I call the four stages of manifestation are not steps to check off, but movements of the soul. They’re more like seasons we spiral through, again and again, each carrying its own awakening.

1. The Sleep of Separation

For a long time, especially in my younger years, I thought life was something that happened to me, like unexpected losses, disappointments and betrayals. I saw them as proof that I had no control. I was simply tossed around by the waves. If you’ve been there, you know the feeling: heavy, contracted, almost certain that if anything good comes, it will be by luck.

But even in the thick of that storm, there was always a quiet whisper inside me asking, “What if there’s another way to see this?” That voice never left me. Looking back, I realise it was Spirit nudging me awake, reminding me that life is not ruled by left-brain logic or control, but by a deeper truth we are all here to remember.

2. The Awakening of the Creator

At some point, I realised I wasn’t powerless. I saw evidence that my thoughts, choices, and beliefs were actually shaping my reality. Throughout the years, I began experimenting with vision boards, affirmations and intention setting. And things started to shift. Opportunities appeared. Relationships changed.

But here’s what else I learned — you can create a very “full” life and still feel empty if you’re creating from fear of lack or the desire to prove yourself. I did that too and then realised pretty quickly that if I’m doing anything to puff myself up, I’m doing it for the wrong reason, which means either I’ll crash or it will eventually fail.

This is the stage where I discovered the endless possibilities that blossom out of authentic creative power. Anytime I’d get an idea to put myself out there, I’d ask myself: Am I creating what I truly want, or just what I think I should want?

3. The Open Vessel

There came a time when I grew tired of pushing and orchestrating. I began to listen more and more. I noticed that the most magical opportunities in my life had never been “forced” into being — they had come through me, but certainly not from me.

I started asking different questions: What is Life longing to live through me? How would Love move if it were in my shoes right now?

The more I listened, the more I saw that guidance comes rather quietly. Maybe in the stillness between the inhale and the exhale, or in the nudge to call someone, or in the sudden knowing of my next step. Life became less about controlling outcomes and more about being available for what wanted to unfold organically.

4. The Presence Embodied

And then, something even deeper began to happen. The “me” that was trying to create or surrender began to dissolve. What remained was Presence — the quiet joy of simply being.

From this space, life no longer felt like something to manifest, or make happen. It feels like a gift I am both giving and receiving in every moment. It’s where there is no separation between the Source and myself. I began to experience my Life happening as me.

From this place of presence, love is not a goal. It is the air I breathe. The blessing I am and the reality I live in.

Where I Am Now: Living the Four Stages of Manifestation

Since the death of my daughter nearly a year ago, I’ve felt like I’m incubating something that I can’t quite define…at least not yet. Jordy’s sudden death brought me to a deeper understanding of the meaning of presence.

What I’ve come to realise is that these four movements of manifestation aren’t a straight line, like the left brain would want them to be. They’re more like a spiral. Sometimes I circle back, sometimes I touch more than one stage in a single day, and sometimes I live in the overlap between them.

The real gift isn’t in “arriving” at the final stage, but in awakening to where I am right now and noticing what’s opening before me.

Each stage carries its own miracle, because each one is part of the greater dance of life. And when the left and right hemispheres of the brain find balance — when logic and intuition, structure and flow come together — that’s when I enter a state of being. From there, creation doesn’t come from effort, but from Presence.

So I close with gratitude to my beloved Jordy, whose life and passing have carried me deeper into what it means to be present. She continues to teach me that love is not something to seek, but something to breathe, something to embody. And for that, my whole being says: Thank you.

In love, praise and gratitude for the gift of Presence…
