Abu Simbel and the Sacred Union Within:
Remembering the Divine Masculine and Feminine
By Dehyana
A Divine Encounter at Abu Simbel
I still remember the first time I rounded that ancient corner in southern Egypt—and laid eyes on Abu Simbel. Time seemed to stand still.
There they were: four colossal statues of Ramses II—seated, regal, carved into the cliffside. Their expressions were solemn, powerful, utterly divine—each one gazing east, toward the rising Sun, toward Ra, the Father of Light.
My breath caught in my chest as a wave of exhilaration surged through me. I stood utterly awestruck, overcome by the sheer majesty of what I was witnessing. The grandeur was overwhelming—not just in size, but in spirit. It felt as though giants had built this temple… giants who knew they were born to praise God.
More Than Stone: A Blueprint of the Soul
Standing before those towering colossi, I saw more than stone.
I saw a cosmic blueprint—Abu Simbel and the sacred union etched in divine form. Each of the four faces of Ramses revealed a different expression, as if speaking through vibration, energy, and soul-language.
Then it struck me: the four statues symbolised the four bodies of man—
- The physical body, that walks the earth
- The emotional body, that feels the tides of life
- The mental body, that thinks and constructs
- The spiritual body, that remembers its divinity
These sacred aspects, unified in devotion, were gazing ahead—in praise, in love, in surrender to Ra. They reminded me that each part of us is meant to turn toward the Light—toward the Divine within.

Honouring the Sacred Feminine: The Temple of Hathor
To the right of the main temple stands a quieter sanctuary—the Temple of Hathor. Built by Ramses II for his beloved queen, Nefertari, it stirred something profound in me.
Here, Abu Simbel and the sacred union found further expression—not only as masculine sovereignty, but as masculine devotion. The act of a king building a temple for his queen revealed a deeper truth: the Divine Masculine honours, protects, and uplifts the Divine Feminine.
Throughout Egypt, this principle is alive in myth and stone. Osiris and Isis, Ptah and Sekhmet—pairs that remind us that creation itself is birthed through sacred union. Not domination. Not division. But balance. Harmony. Reverence.
The Trinity as a Living Code
Unlike dogma, the sacred trinity in Egypt pulses as a living code:
Father, Mother, and Divine Child.
Spirit, Matter, and Consciousness.
Masculine, Feminine, and the Union that births Light.
Abu Simbel is not merely a temple—it is a teaching. A memory. A mirror that reflects our inner reality: we are kings and queens of the Divine, not to rule—but to radiate, to reflect the One who sent us.

Leo and the Light Within
Astrologically, Abu Simbel and the sacred union aligns with the sign of Leo—the Lion of God, sovereign and radiant. The Leo within says:
“I will shine—not for ego, but in devotion to the Light.”
This isn’t about status. It’s about sacred purpose.
To embody the Divine Child is to awaken your inner sun. To live your life as a blessing.

The Inner Chamber: A Silent Teaching from the Shadow
At the heart of Abu Simbel lies a final revelation—
A hidden sanctuary, where four deities sit:
- Ra-Horakhty
- Amun-Ra
- Ramses II deified
- And in the shadows… Ptah
Twice a year, the Sun pierces the temple and illuminates three of these gods. But Ptah remains in the shadows.
This is not an oversight—it is a sacred truth.
Ptah represents the primordial creator, the one who births the cosmos through silence and intent. He is the dark womb before light, the Word before sound, the stillness before action.
Abu Simbel and the sacred union would not be complete without this silent presence. Ptah reminds us:
Your true power lies not in performance, but in your alignment with Source.

You Are a Living Temple
The message is clear: when the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies all turn toward Ra—the Light—you become a living temple.
Abu Simbel and the sacred union reveal to us that we are not small, not forgotten. We are constructed from the same divine intelligence that shaped the stars—and these stones.
Every step forward, every breath of courage, every act of love… is a hymn of praise.
A Prayer of Remembrance
Divine Creator,
Light of all worlds,
We bow before You now…
In the stillness of Ptah,
In the radiance of Ra,
In the temple of our own being.
We remember that we are made of Light—
Not separate from You, but of You,
Eternal flames birthed from the cosmic womb.
Let every shadow we walk through
Be a holy passage to deeper knowing.
Let every sunrise remind us
That You are ever with us, within us, and as us.
May the four bodies of our being—
Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—
Align in harmony with Your divine will.
May we remember our royal essence,
Not in pride, but in purpose—
To live, to shine, to love in Your name.
We call upon the courage of Leo,
The wisdom of Ptah,
The guidance of Ra,
And the silent knowing of the ancient ones
To awaken within us the truth of who we are.
Bless this journey,
Bless this life,
Bless every soul who hears these words
With remembrance, with healing,
With the peace that passes all understanding.
We give thanks.
We surrender.
We rise.
Amun. Amun. Amun.
