Awakening the Wisdom of Thoth:

Ancient Secrets for Modern Seekers

By Dehyana

The Ancient Call

There’s something stirring in the collective these days, and I’m sure you, like me, are feeling it. I think of it as a pull back to the ancient, the elemental, the eternal. I’ve actually heard it like a whisper rising from stone and star, calling me to remember what was once known and has never been forgotten. In this blog, I’m diving into the mystery of Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, and the Emerald Tablets, which have fascinated me for decades. I’ve included a guided meditation to help you connect with this powerful energy.

Sacred Stone Whispers

A few years ago, while visiting the Callanish standing stones, a prehistoric monument on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, one of the stones spoke to me: ‘Come close and listen to the heartbeat of my love.’ I leaned against her and felt the love of Mother Earth wrap me in a blanket of light. It was pure magic.

Meeting Thoth

Nowadays with our upcoming Egypt trip, that ancient and eternal whisper takes the form of Thoth!

In this blog, I’m diving into the mystery of Thoth—a being who has fascinated me for decades. There’s something about the magic and wisdom he carries through the mythologies of time that speaks directly to my soul. Though the stories are ancient and wrapped in symbolism, I’ve always believed that every myth holds a seed of truth, waiting to be unearthed by those who seek with an open heart. Of all the writings I’ve explored, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth, penned in the early 1930s, struck a profound chord within me. It stirred something ancient—something I recognised not with my mind, but with my inner knowing. Over the years, I’ve gathered pieces of his story from countless sources, and in this post, I’ve woven together the threads that have resonated most deeply.

Who Is Thoth?

Thoth (called Djehuty in ancient Egypt) is the god of wisdom, writing, magic, time, and the Moon. He’s often depicted as a man with the head of an ibis or, at times, as a baboon—both sacred to him.

Thoth: Priest-King of Atlantis

For over 16,000 years, from around 52,000 B.C. to 36,000 B.C., Thoth, the priest-king of Atlantis, guided and ruled the ancient race of Egypt. It was Thoth who brought forth the Emerald Tablets—not mere stories or records, but a living transmission of wisdom, etched into a mysterious green stone said to have come from the stars. These Tablets were more than teachings; they were a map, an initiation, and a guide to universal truth. From them arose the Seven Hermetic Principles—wisdom so powerful it has shaped mystical and esoteric thought for thousands of years.

The Many Names of Wisdom

But Thoth wasn’t just a figure of myth. Across time, he became known by many names: the God of Wisdom, Keeper of the Records, Master Magician, Hermes Trismegistus—the Thrice-Born. He walked between worlds, bridging the seen and unseen, holding the keys to mysteries that still call to us today.

Born in Ancient Atlantis

Thoth was said to be born in Keor, one of Atlantis’s main cities, raised by his father, Thotme, the Keeper of the Temple of Unal. From an early age, he was initiated into the Elder Mysteries, learning the sacred pathways leading to Amenti—the realm of deep transformation, death, and rebirth. It was here he received the Key to Perpetual Life, what many later called the Fountain of Youth.

If something in you is stirring as you read this, it may be calling you beyond words and into direct experience.

Our Spiritual Tour to Egypt is an invitation to walk these sacred sites, and explore the deeper teachings they still hold.

From Atlantis to Egypt

And when Atlantis finally sank beneath the waves, Thoth did not vanish. He and his followers journeyed to the land we now call Egypt, known then as Khem. There, they seeded a new civilisation, weaving the wisdom of Atlantis into its very foundations.

The Great Pyramid’s Secret

Many mystics and initiates believe Thoth was the guiding intelligence behind the design of the Great Pyramid—not necessarily placing each stone himself, but encoding the sacred geometry of the Emerald Tablets with divine intelligence, raising it above the Halls of Amenti. Within its hidden chambers, he placed the records of Atlantis, guarding them for those who would one day seek them.

The pyramid, then, is not merely a monument of stone—it’s a living symbol of the soul’s ascent.

The King’s Chamber Mystery

Inside those chambers—especially the King’s Chamber—many of us have felt a deep remembrance. Not of history, but of truth. It’s said Thoth’s imprint is vibrationally woven into the architecture itself. According to legend, the pyramid was built before the Great Flood, when Egypt was still Khem, and within it Thoth preserved the highest teachings of that ancient era in the Emerald Tablets.

The Living Emerald Tablets

But here’s the thing: the Emerald Tablets aren’t just a history of Atlantis. Their true gift is something deeper. They hold keys to the unfolding of Heaven and Earth, and to the awakening of the Divine Soul within each of us. They’re written in a way that makes them alive—designed to respond to the reader’s own level of consciousness. As we attune and open, the Tablets begin to resonate with us, stirring an ancient knowing that can’t quite be explained. They contain wisdom that resonates with anyone seeking the deeper teachings of Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom.

Reading With Heart

I highly recommend reading the Emerald Tablets. But don’t just read with your mind—read with your heart. Let the words speak to something deeper. Because these Tablets aren’t just information; they’re a doorway. A living transmission. They call us into a wisdom that must be felt, embodied, and lived.

In a world so hungry for answers, the Emerald Tablets don’t simply hand us truths—they invite us into an alchemical journey. They challenge us not just to learn the wisdom, but to become it.

And maybe that’s the deeper message Thoth left for us: that true transformation isn’t about gaining more knowledge. It’s about remembering who we truly are.

This path of remembrance doesn’t end here.
If you feel called to go deeper, you can explore personal guidance and continue your journey inward.

The 7 Hermetic Principles: Spiritual Law Made Simple

These principles, attributed to Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, are more than philosophy. They are laws of being, guidelines for how energy moves, how reality functions and how consciousness creates.

Here they are, in essence:

  1. The Principle of Mentalism: All is mind. The universe is a mental creation of the All. Change your thoughts, and you change your reality.
  2. The Principle of Correspondence: As above, so below; as within, so without. Everything reflects everything. What you shift inside, ripples outward.
  3. The Principle of Vibration:
Nothing rests; everything moves. Everything is energy in motion. Your vibration determines your experience.
  4. The Principle of Polarity:
Everything has its pair of opposites. Light and dark, love and fear—are just degrees of the same essence. Find balance.
  5. The Principle of Rhythm:
Everything flows in and out. Life moves in cycles. The pendulum swings. Learning to ride the rhythm is key.
  6. The Principle of Cause and Effect: Nothing happens by chance. Every action has a reaction. You are not a victim—you are a co-creator.
  7. The Principle of Gender:
Everything contains masculine and feminine energies. Creation requires both. True power lies in harmony.

Living the Principles

These laws are not “out there.” They’re active within each of us, right now. And when we live in alignment with them, something unlocks…a clarity, a grace, a flow. We can align with universal laws that have been guiding humanity for millennia by immersing ourselves in the teachings of Thoth, Egyptian god of wisdom and the Emerald Tablets.

The Hidden Gateway

Know ye that in the pyramid I builded are the Keys

That shall show ye the Way into life

Aye, draw ye a line from the great image I builded

To the apex of the pyramid, built as a gateway

Draw ye another opposite in the same angle and direction

Dig ye and find that which I have hidden

There shall ye find the underground entrance

To the secrets hidden before ye were men
